Delete your account
You can delete your Advora Legal account at any time, in the app or by email.
In the app
Open your profile, choose Delete account, then confirm. You can give a reason if you want to.
By email
Email support@advoralegal.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Deletion is immediate
When you confirm, your data is deleted straight away and can't be recovered. There is no restore period.
What is deleted
Clients: your account, profile, ID copies, uploads, and messages. A message thread is deleted for both sides. A lawyer's own case record about you stays with them, and your access to it ends.
Lawyers: all of that, plus your cases, case documents, portfolio, and credential documents. Linked clients lose access. Export your cases first if you need them.
Any upcoming sessions are cancelled. If you are a lawyer, your clients are refunded for those sessions. If you are a client, sessions cancelled this way are not refunded, and any unused credit is lost.
What stays
Payment and tax records stay, with your name removed, because the law requires us to keep them. Records of complaints and enforcement action also stay, without your name.
If a refund or payout is pending, we pay it first and delete your account straight after. You can't sign in during that time. If we need your bank or payout details to pay you, add them before you delete your account.
Deleted data can remain in our backup copies, where case documents and other sensitive fields stay encrypted, until those copies expire. Backup copies expire on their normal cycle.
Law firms
If you own a firm workspace, delete the firm or transfer ownership first. Deleting a firm removes all of its data immediately and permanently, as set out in the Law Firm Agreement. A firm's own records about your work stay with the firm when a member deletes their account.
